The National Forum for the Law Enforcement of Heritage Related Matters (NALEH) brings together officials in the arts & culture and law enforcement sectors in a voluntary capacity. Currently officials of the following institutions and organisations are active in NALEH:

- Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (DPCI) of the South African Police Service (SAPS)
- Interpol
- South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA)
- National Heritage Council (NHC)
- ICOM South Africa
- South African Museums Association (SAMA)

In addition, the NALEH is supported by the Department of Police Practice, in the College of Law at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

The focus of its activities has been on thefts from museums up to now, but they are in the process of reviewing and expanding their activities.
