The Center against trafficking in works of art (CPKU) is a non-profit organization created in December 2014 and based in Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The purpose of the CPKU is in particular to establish a national database of the stolen works of art in Bosnia & Herzegovina (made public on its website http://cpku.org) in order to improve the coordination between police services, prosecutors and cultural institutions. It also intends to bring a specialized assistance to the actors of the fight against trafficking of works of art, to organize training courses with a view to identifying and sharing good practices (correct procedure, importance of inventories, safety in museums, etc), to promote international cooperation in this field and develop the legislation in force.
