This report provides an overview of the activities undertaken by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) with regard to strengthening crime prevention and criminal justice responses to trafficking in cultural property. It also provides a summary of the activities carried out by UNODC to implement the follow-up to the recommendations of the open-ended intergovernmental expert group on protection against trafficking in cultural property, to develop specific guidelines for crime prevention and criminal justice responses with respect to trafficking in cultural property and to promote international cooperation among Member States for the protection of cultural property from trafficking.
