Trafficking Culture aims to produce an evidence-based picture of the contemporary global trade in looted cultural objects. This research programme is based at the University 0f Glasgow and is funded by the European Research Council. As of summer 2013 we have five researchers and a number of PhD and Masters students, as well as a pool of volunteer researchers. We produce original data and commentary on the illicit traffic in cultural objects, teach courses and supervise students on the topic, engage with the media, maintain an active website and social networking links, and take part in international discussions on law, policy
and practice.
